Some Place To Go
A few little ideas if you need inspiration for a day out
One of the many joys of horse ownership or companionship is seeing how your horse responds to different views and environments. When we take Bella out, we allow her to take it all in, feel comfortable and soak it all up.
Initially, we were really restricted in where we could go. We soon found out that our new addition hadn't really had that much experience of the big, wide world of roads; she'd grown up on a farm on the edge of Dartmoor, small country lanes were her norm rather than busy B roads that we had outside of the yard where she moved to when she came to us. She was easily spooked and we didn't want to stress her out with it if we didn't have to.
Being used to travelling meant that loading up into a horsebox was something she was used to, so being able to choose where we went for some 'awayday' fun became a viable option.
Although we aren't the most experienced, we are learning and so we will add to this little list of ideas where we can and from recommendations from others, too.
